Dachshund with Poppies has flowers that playfully dance around the dachshund are a nod to Mucha who is one of my artists and considered one of the founding fathers of Art Nouveau. The bird sitting upon the head of the dachshund ia a European Robin.The Dachshund breed originates from Germany since the 16th Century. The dachshund came to the US in 1885 and breed was specifically for hunting rabbits and pulling them out of wholes.They are great family dogs with a lot of personality. They are very devoted to their families and will warm to other with an introduction. The heart collar reminds us of our true doxie love!
